Our Chamlian students enjoyed a beautiful Christmas sermon and communion by our beloved Parish Priests, Archpriest Fr. Komitas Torosian and Reverend Fr. Ardak Demirjian.

Our fifth graders were filled with excitement to witness our class novel, A Christmas Carol, come to life at the Glendale Centre Theatre! They were also given the opportunity to meet the actors and actresses and delve into the inner workings and challenges that come with putting together a play based upon a novel.

Bringing history alive at Medieval Times! Our 7th graders had a blast enjoying a nice lunch while watching knights battle off as they did long ago!

Christmas magic at the annual Chamlian Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! Thank you to our PSC moms whose tireless efforts made this night such a fun-filled family event to kick off the holiday celebrations.

6th graders visited the CA Science Center to experience MATH ALIVE! an interactive exhibit reflecting the use of math in our everyday lives!

First Grade took a field trip to the San Gabriel Playhouse to watch Pete the Cat live! To create exceptional, transformative theatrical experiences that are accessible to young and family audiences throughout New York City and North America. They enjoyed every minute!

Chamlian School is proud to announce the winners of the LA County Library Bookmark Contest for 2019. Sareen Churukian (1C), Natalia Zovigian (5A) and Isabella Hagobian (6B) won for the most creative bookmarks out of more than 1,000 participating student entries. Thank you to Miss Helen, for guiding students and providing the opportunity for K-6th students to participate in this annual program.

The 8th graders visited the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Monday, November 25th. Students had the opportunity to “board” a retired Air Force One presidential airplane and walk around the Reagan Presidential Museum. Additionally, students participated in an interactive simulation of the Oval Office, the Military Command Decision Center, and the White House Press room at the Air Force One Discovery Center. The students were assigned roles of government officials that served during Reagan's presidency. They had to work together to come up with a solution to a real life crisis that President Reagan had faced in 1983.

Over the past few weeks, third grade classes have enjoyed visits by librarian and branch manager Marta Wiggins of the County Library, right up the street in La Crescenta. Ms. Marta used her animated personality and storytelling skills to engage her audience. She also gave a very kid-friendly explanation of how to select books to read. She’s an enthusiastic supporter of the Anita Torosian Literacy & Resource Center and never misses a chance to tell our students how lucky they are to have such a resource at their school. All third graders received a library card after the presentation.

Chamlian Armenian School is always proud to support the continued humanitarian and philanthropic projects that the @armeniafund undertakes within our Homeland! Our collective efforts raised more then 5,000 dollars this year which we are confident will play a big role in the revitalization and growth of our beloved Armenia.
