On Friday, January 12, 2018, Chamlian's 8th grade class hosted a Skype session with Armenian activist, Bethel Charkoudian, who participated in a Civil Rights Movement march led by Martin Luther King Jr. in 1965. Ms. Charkoudian shared her personal story on her role with the Armenian Genocide and her experiences during the Civil Rights Movement. The 8th grade students had the opportunity to ask questions about what inspired her to participate in the movement and what emotions were provoked from the experience as the only Armenian-American present in the march.

On Thursday, December 21, 2017, Vahan and Anoush Chamlian first grade students paid a visit to the Prelacy where they performed a Christmas program for H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and conveyed New Year and Christmas well wishes to His Eminence. The Prelate was joined by Reverend Fr. Torkom Donoyan & Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian. The students were accompanied by Principal Dr. Talin Kargodorian, Vice-Principal Mrs. Rita Kaprielian, teachers, and parents.

Our Kindergarten Parent Visitation Day was a huge success as parents had the chance to “walk in the shoes” of their children by spending half a regular school day with them in the classroom. Our Kindergartners performed a special Christmas program, led by music teacher Ms. Suzy Pashayan. Parents participated in hands-on, collaborative activities and observed how their children interact in the classroom environment. Following their English and Armenian class visits, parents joined their children during recess.

On Thursday, December 14th, 2017, Chamlian Armenian School hosted the grand opening of their state of the art library, the Anita Torosian Literacy and Resource Center, located on their campus at 4444 Lowell Ave, in Glendale, Ca.

Chamlian's STEAM elective class hosts an interactive hands-on demonstration to our Kindergarten class! As part of the Steam course, 7th grade students designed a coding program that connects everyday objects to control the keyboard with the internet.

On Friday, December 1, 2017, Chamlian Armenian School held its 4th annual Christmas Lighting Event, organized by the school’s Parent Support Committee.
