Our youngest Chamlian learners delved into an adventure to meet different kinds of workers in our community. They were visited by doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers, lawyers, pharmacists, and so much more! Thank you to our guest parents and speakers for allowing such sophisticated concepts come to life for our Kindergartners!

Our Chamlian Tigers did amazing and displayed their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship! As in previous years, Chamlian athletes shining during the Homenetmen Kaham Games has become the norm.
We are excited to announce that not only did we have a record breaking 400 athletes participate this year, but Chamlian teams were also victorious in many sports categories and were recognized during the closing ceremony. Chamlian won 36 trophies in all and best overall in Basketball (1st place), and Track and Field (2nd place) and Volleyball (2nd place). Special thanks to our amazing Athletic Director, Mr. Tomik Iranosian for his leadership and determination!
We also thank Ms. Arpi Babakhanyan as well as our talented coaches, many of whom are Chamlian alumni! We are extremely proud of our students!

Our Open House was a huge success! The night was filled with discovery, innovation, academic success, Armenian Heritage, and more! See our Facebook for more photos!

Our amazing Nutrition Committee not only held a successful and healthy fruit sale for our students today, but also provided nutritional guidance and informational to help promote a healthy lifestyle for our Tigers!

Our 5th graders benefiting from the our guest, Mr. Nick, from the Junior Fire Department Program. Our Tigers learned about fire safety, procedures, and how to handle an emergency situation. All in all, a very informative day!

To say our Chamlian Tigers did amazing at the AESA Science Olympiad is an understatement. The winners circle was packed with our Chamlian students as they ranked FIRST PLACE in ALL the categories! Special congratulations to Ms. Lida Gevorkian for also winning Teacher of the Year as well as to our beloved Chamlian School for winning School of the Year! We are very proud, but not surprised! The rankings were as follows:

Michael Baghdassarian: Chemistry, 1st Place

Gary Shirikchian: Life Science, 1st place

Jake Grigorian: Physical Science, 1st place

Shant Koutnouyan: Chemistry, 2nd place

Keghon Kasparian: Chemistry, 3rd place

Our 5th graders enjoyed a field trip to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory! After an informative tour, the students had the opportunity to watch as a Mars rover was being prepared for its launch in 2020. Another great educational experience with Chamlian!

Chamlian Armenian Club students visited Armenian community centers around Los Angeles. The students had a unique opportunity to meet the leaders of today and get familiar with organizations that they can be involved with.

Our 8th graders had the honor of hearing Ms. Shantal Der Boghosian, an environmental engineer as well as a business owner/entrepreneur, share her story of achievement. Hearing her inspiring journey in her career as well as fulfilling her dreams truly cemented the ambition and urge to succeed that our Tigers are accustomed to.

Members of our Chamlian Armenian Club, Booster Club, and Student Council spent their Saturday volunteering for the Armenian Educational Foundation’s School Supply Project! What an amazing opportunity to assist our brothers and sisters in the Homeland further their education and continue the advancement of this great cause!
