The 4th grade class had a memorable day on Friday! They had the opportunity to visit Valley Trails Ranch where they participated in many hands-on activities that showed them what life was like in early California. Just like the settlers in the Gold Rush era, students panned for golf, churned butter, made candles, and adobe bricks. #VTRanch #FieldTrip #4thGrade #ChamlianPride #ChamlianFamily

Today our 1st and 3rd grade students had a special visit from Nazareth Ashkharian. He works at NASA and was able to provide our first and third graders a special look to space. Our students were fascinated with the interactive presentation. To complement the science unit on living things, our first grade students got up close and personal with various animals at the LA Zoo. Our Jr. High students enjoyed “Dern oo Dzaran”, a fantastic production by the Hamazkayin Theatre Company! It was all the more special seeing current student, Sarin Khatcherian, alumni Ara Yacoubian, Shant Anmahouni, Ani Anmahouni, and current Chamlian dad Vatche Markarian as part of the cast! Շամլեան Ազգային Վարժարանի յարկի տակ էին եկել երեք բախտաւոր սերունդ՝ տատիկ-պապիկներ,ծնողներ և թոռնիկ-թոռնուհիներ:
Դ. կարգի աշակերտները մեծ խանդավառութեամբ ներկայացրին Վարդանանց պատերազմը: Նրանց մանկական շրթներից հնչուեց «Քաջ Վարդանի» գովքն ու սխրագործութիւնները: Նրանք ուխտեցին հաւատարիմ մնալ իրենց կրօնին, լեզուին ու հայրենիքին: Honoring the memory of St. Vartan, our patriotic 4th graders did an amazing job during their Vartanants program.
