2018-2019 New Student Enrollment Now Open!

On Monday, February 12, Representatives from Charlie Keyan Armenian School, located in Clovis, California, visited our campus to learn more about our school and the exemplary programs we offer to our students. A group of teachers, parents, board members, and administrators from Chalie Keyan Armenian School toured our campus, met with faculty and staff, and visited our classrooms.

Kicking off Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Challenge Week! Chamlian’s Character Counts Crew are celebrating RAK week with a 5 day celebration promoting kindness. Today, students received a special bracelet in the morning reminding them that “Kindness Starts with Me” #ChamlianPride

Chamlian Armenian School held its annual Gala on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Our Annual Gala event organized by Chamlian’s Parent Support Committee (PSC) Dinner Dance Sub Committee, was a huge success. All funds raised from the event will assist us in achieving our goal of renovating classrooms. Our focus is on reshaping classrooms for our 21st Century learners!

Chamlian Armenian School’s fourth grade students celebrated St. Vartanants Day with a special performance organized by the Armenian Department, for their grandparents on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Students marked the day through various performances, which included poetry recitations, Armenian folk songs, and short plays. The 4th grade classes was packed with beaming grandparents as they happily watched their grandchildren perform. #ChamlianPride

3rd Grade students participating in a scavenger hunt in our Anita Torosian Literacy & Resource Center! Students learned how to search our digital catalog and understand how to identify call numbers and find locations of the books. #ChamlianPride

On Friday February 2, 2018, Chamlian Armenian School administration, in collaboration with the Parent Support Group, coordinated workshops for parents and students. The day of workshops began with a parent round table discussion with Police Officer Joe Allen from Glendale Police Department, and Corky O' Rourke, Glendale Unified School District Teacher Specialist, about the impact of social media, cyber safety, and social interactions. After the parent workshop, students in grades 5-8, met by grade level with both presenters for interactive small group workshops!

The final round of the National Geography Bee at the school level was held on Thursday, February 1, 2018. The following students represented their grade level during the competition:
6th Grade – Nicholas Hagobian, Jack Apikian, Juno Kirakosian
7th Grade – Lilly Boghossian, Vahan Kordian, Shant Koutnouyan
8th Grade – Chris Ajnass, Armen Der Sahakian, Nayiri Kalindjian

6th-8th grade students received their 1st Semester Principal's Honor Roll Certificates! We are so proud of each and every one of you! A special thank you to our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Talar Tejirian Boynerian, (a successful alumnus of Chamlian Armenian School), for delivering an inspiring speech. #ChamlianPride

On Thursday, January 25, 8th grade took a Trip to Shakespearience! Shakespearience is a dynamic theatre arts experience, where students find a safe, nurturing, creative environment. A place that offers and fosters expansive thinking and boundless imagination. #ChamlianPride
