Chamlian Armenian School is proud to have achieved the distinguished honor to be recognized among a short list of honorable mention list for the 2018 Healthy Facility Award Program. This is a collaboration between the School Planning & Management magazine, College Planning & Management magazine, and the Healthy Facilities Institute. The award recognizes schools that give regular, consistent attention to the following nine health factors: indoor air quality, chemical exposure, water quality, sound levels, lighting, cleaning, sanitizing, pest management, and ergonomics.

On May 2nd, Professor Ashot Melkonyan, presented to 7th and 8th Grade students about his birthplace in Javakhk. During the past several years, the Armenian Relief Society has actively worked to improve the lives of our brethren in Javakhk. Due to the fundraising efforts of the Armenian Relief society, they have been able to rebuild schools, hospitals, and cultural centers in his hometown. #Javakhk #Chamlian #ARS #armenianreliefsociety @ars_1910

As part of Armenian Religion class, 4th Grade students received a special tour of St. Mary's Armenian Church, led by Archpriest, Vazken Atmajian. The Archpriest gave students a tour of the Church and shared information behind the rituals of an Armenian mass and discussed the meaning of faith. #ChamlianPride #Faith #Rituals

After a school wide Science Fair, thirteen students were chosen by a distinguished panel of scientists to represent Chamlian Armenian School at the Los Angeles County Science Fair. The Los Angeles County Science Fair had 518 junior level students competing in 22 categories. Chamlian Armenian School student science fair projects were submitted in the categories of Pharmecology, Mathematics & Computer Science, Physics (Aeordynamics), Physics (General), Product Science, Microbiology, Earth/Space Science, Chemistry Applied, and Product Science.

Major Sargis Stepanyan, a soldier in Armenia's elite Special Forces Unit, who was severely wounded during a special operations mission to retrieve a wounded soldier, visited with the Chamlian Armenian School junior high students.

On Friday, April 20, 2018, the entire Chamlian family gathered together for the Annual Tree Planting and Candle Lighting ceremony to commemorate 103rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, Chamlian Armenian School’s held its Third Annual Sports Night, organized by the Parent Athletic Committee (PAC), to honor and appreciate our KAHAM athletes and coaches.

On Friday, April 13, 2018, Armenian Drama Club members performed the plays «Կիկոսի Մահը» եւ « Բարեկընդանը» Chamlian Armenian School's administration and faculty are incredibly proud of the Armenian Drama Club students and their advisor Mrs. Arpi Dabbaghian, for their hard work and commitment to bring this beautiful plays to life.
