As our Kindergarteners complete their science animals unit, they were visited by real live animals! The students not only learned about the animals' living habits, but interacted closely with them as well!

Chamlian had the pleasure of hosting Andrew Kazazian, a Chamlian alumna, with his spectacular NED Positive Mindset Assembly in which our students cemented the Chamlian values of staying positive, never giving up, and encouraging one another as a family! Our Tigers had a blast in this interactive assembly!

Another successful Open House! Our principal, Dr. Kargodorian, began with her opening remarks. Prospective parents were given a presentation of the multi-faceted, rigorous, and dynamic foundations of Chamlian, followed by a tour of our beautiful facilities. At Chamlian, we are always promoting academic excellence, preserving the Armenian heritage, and developing students of high integrity in an innovative, safe learning environment.

We had the honor of hosting Mr. Shant Sahakian, the Director of Development of the Armenian American Museum! Chamlian is proud to support such an integral project that we are sure will become a staple within our community!

Our Kindergarten and First Grade Students gathered at the Anita Torosian Literacy and Resource Center for Chamlian's first pajama story time! Guest readers included Glendale Police Chief, Carl Povilatis, LA County Fire Captain Peter Yaghoobov, Armenian author Aline Bezdikian-Shirajian, Fairy Meline Tovmasian, and proud parent Meri Telalyan!

The final round of the Geography Bee at the school-wide level was held on January 18th. Students from 6th - 8th grade who had moved forward in the competition participated in seven exciting rounds that resulted in a 4 way tie that lead us to a championship round! Congratulations to Jake Grigorian for winning first place as our school-wide champion! Jake will take a written test for an opportunity to move on to the next round at the state level. Congratulations to all our finalists for their hard work and commitment!

The Induction Ceremony was held on Wednesday, January 16. We are so proud of this admirable accomplishment that our scholars have achieved and wish them continued success! Under the guidance of Ms. Ana Sirabionian, their advisor, our ambitious Tigers will no doubt succeed in all their endeavors and projects for the year!

Mr. Silvio Lanzas, Interim Fire Chief, visited Chamlian and was given a tour of our facilities. We are always glad to continue to strengthen and uphold the strong tied we have between our Chamlian Family and larger Glendale community.

We had the honor of hosting Mr. Babken DerGrigorian, Deputy Minister of the Diaspora and a Chamlian Alumnus, and Ms. Arevik Anapiosyan, Deputy Minister of Education & Science. Our distinguished guests met with our students, discussed a deeper connection between the Diaspora and Homeland, and were given a tour of our impressive facilities!

We're so proud of all of our Chamlian Tigers who dedicated multiple days during their Christmas break to volunteering and working tirelessly on the Armenian float that represented our rich heritage and beautiful culture!
