I have been a proud member of the Chamlian family for over 20 years. Teaching is not just a job for me—it’s a privilege. Every day I get to guide young minds on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves. In my classroom, students don’t just learn facts and figures; they learn to become thoughtful and responsible global citizens. Teaching 2nd grade has been my calling for many years, and Chamlian lies at the heart of my professional and personal joy. The deep connection I've formed with my students over the years is what truly animates my passion for education.
What drives me? It’s that moment when a student’s eyes light up with understanding, and I can see the confidence begin to bloom within them. Watching my students discover solutions on their own, after guiding them just enough to nurture their independence, is the most rewarding part of my role as an educator. The world is theirs to conquer, and I am here to help them believe it.
Education:
Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Northridge
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
Work Experience:
Fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment as a 2nd Grade Teacher has been a longstanding joy. I have also spent time teaching both 1st grade and 6th grade social studies.
Interests/Hobbies:
My life outside the classroom is filled with adventures in traveling, immersive experiences in reading, a commitment to fitness, and a love for music.
Driven by the wisdom of Haim Ginott, I believe in the power of emotional connection as the key to unlocking a child's potential. "To reach a child's mind, a teacher must capture his heart. Only if a child feels right can he think right." This philosophy guides my every interaction, aiming to ensure each student feels valued, understood, and inspired.
