Mrs. Seda Batmanian

As Dean of Students at Chamlian Armenian School, my focus is on creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where students can grow with confidence and purpose. I work closely with teachers, staff, and families to uphold high expectations for behavior, promote personal responsibility, and ensure students are equipped with the tools they need for both academic success and emotional well-being. With a foundation in counseling, my leadership is rooted in care, consistency, and a commitment to each student’s personal and academic development.

Educational Background
  • MA in Clinical Psychology, Pepperdine University
  • BA in Psychology, California State University, Northridge (CSUN)

Work Experience
  • Serving as the Dean of Students at Chamlian Armenian School for the past six years, I am dedicated to fostering a positive school climate and supporting student growth through consistent guidance and leadership.
  • Served as School Counselor for 25 years, offering individualized support and building strong relationships to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and being outdoors. I live by the belief that “the only thing standing between you and your goal is the excuse you keep telling yourself,” and I strive to instill that mindset in my students every day.
