Welcome! I am currently serving with immense pride at Chamlian as the Director of Communications and Director of Armenian Cultural Enrichment. Joining the beautiful Chamlian community in 2021, I have been dedicated to enriching our school's culture and enhancing our communication strategies, ensuring every family feels closely connected to the Chamlian experience.

Educational Background:
  • Holding a Master of Public Policy, with a focus on International Development and Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Southern California, I've embraced the complexities of global education and community empowerment.
  • My educational journey also led me to acquire a Grant Writing Certification from USC, further equipping me with the tools to effectively support and advocate for our initiatives.
  • With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Documentary Photography and Art History from UC Irvine, I've cultivated a profound appreciation for storytelling through visuals and the intricate narratives of art’s history. My passion for documentary photography was honed at the Maine Workshops, where I received a Certificate of Documentary Photography, allowing me to capture and share stories from around the world.

Work Experience: Before joining Chamlian, I contributed to various organizations where I honed my skills and expanded my expertise.
  • In my previous role at WorldVision International, I aligned organizational policies with strategic initiatives, advised on communication strategies, and developed comprehensive HR policies for our global staff.
  • As the Executive Director of AYF Camp of California, I was responsible for strategic and operational planning, financial management, enhancing communications, and fostering community partnerships to support our youth-centric mission.
  • As Advocacy & Policy Director for the ANCA, I executed policy analysis, legislative research, and managed public relations efforts, including significant census-related programs.
  • As a Policy & Outreach Coordinator for the LA City Commission for Youth & Families, I focused on policy brief preparation, legislative tracking, and coordination of community partnerships to promote youth safety initiatives.

Across these roles, my aim has been to drive effective communication, foster community engagement, and contribute positively to the development of learning environments through strategic oversight and cultural initiatives.

Interests & Hobbies:
  • Above all, my family is my heart’s joy.
  • Documentary Photography not only continues to be a professional pursuit but a personal passion, capturing the essence of people's lives and the stories that shape us.
  • Travel and volunteering allow me to engage with diverse cultures, contribute to meaningful causes, and bring back learnings to enrich our Chamlian family.
